(UTV | COLOMBO) – The Gampaha Magistrate’s Court today (03) ordered the former Director of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Shani Abeysekara and the Sub-Inspector (SI) attached to the Embilipitiya Police Station Rohana Mendis to be further remanded till 17 September.
The suspects were arrested and remanded for their alleged involvement in fabricating evidence of a weapons case.
The order was given when they were produced before Court today.
