Dry rations for low income groups undergoing quarantine

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The Government has decided to give dry rations worth Rs.10,000 only to low-income earning families who are being subject to quarantine as a result of COVID-19 infections.

The Cabinet which met recently has made this decision and the Presidential Task Force on Economic Revival and Poverty Eradication has by now informed District Secretaries, Government Agents and Divisional Secretaries regarding this decision.

Relevant authorities have been informed of this decision through a Circular on providing relief to families who have been subject to quarantine as well as families who have been affected by the disastrous situation.
