Delay in medicine ordered under Indian credit

(UTV | COLOMBO) –Psays it has not been able to import medicine ordered under the India Line of Credit, despite placing the order.

He said due to the delay in making purchase orders, the Ministry failed in addressing the shortage of medicines in the country.

Also, the Ministry of Health further noted that another stock of medicines and medical equipment worth over $4 Million is scheduled to be delivered to the country from the World Health Organization.

The Ministry of Health said that medicines and medical supplies are distributed to local hospitals through a stock management system under the current situation.
