Curfew imposed in Damana and Uhana lifted

(UTV | COVID-19) – Curfew declared in the Damana and Uhana Police areas in the Ampara District this morning (24) has been lifted.

According to the Commander of Army, Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva certain restrictions have been imposed on entering and exiting the aforementioned areas.

Authorities had taken measures to impose curfew for a short time frame this morning, as it was revealed Navy Personnel attached to the Welisara Navy Camp who were granted leave, had returned to their residences in the aforementioned areas.
