(UTV | Covid – 19 ) – A Covid-19-infected patient died at the Homagama Hospital today (04), reporting the 8th COVID-19 death in Sri Lanka, Director Health Services Dr. Anil Jasinghe stated.
The deceased, a 72-year-old woman is a resident of Polpithigama, Kurunegala.
The deceased had been suffering from kidney ailments prior to death.
She is the first female to die from COVID-19 in Sri Lanka.
