Cabinet Ministers to forgo Ministerial salaries – PM

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe says the newly appointed Cabinet of Ministers have decided to forgo their Ministerial salaries.

The Premier speaking in Parliament today said the Ministers also decided to limit the Ministerial privileges they enjoy.

Meanwhile Prime Minister Wickremesinghe informed that despite assurances by Litro Gas Company that sufficient gas cylinders would be unloaded yesterday, they had failed to do so.

The Premier said he instructed the Litro Gas Chairman to provide an explanation over the development, while the Committee on Public Enterprise was also informed to summon officials at Litro gas for inquiries.
