Bus journeys reduced by 50% due to fuel shortage

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The Lanka Private Bus Owners’ Association says bus journeys will be reduced by 50 percent today, based on the availability of fuel.

Gemunu Wijeratne said accordingly buses that usually operate six journeys will only operate three journeys today.

He added buses can only operate if there is sufficient fuel. He noted operators have been instructed to reduce bus journeys during the afternoon.
