Body found in travelling bag near Sapugaskanda identified

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The identity of the dead body in the travelling bag found dumped near the Sapugaskanda Oil Refinery has been confirmed.

She was identified to be a 42-year-old resident of Maligawatta flats.

Previously, the police requested public assistance to identify the deceased person.

The body of the deceased was wrapped in a plastic mat before it was put inside a travelling bag.

Further, the police stated that the deceased was identified to be a female between the ages of 30 and 40.

The forensic medical examination regarding the body is to be conducted today.
