Basil Rajapaksa acquitted from ‘Lith’ distribution case

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Colombo High court acquitted Minister Basil Rajapaksa and former Director-General of Divineguma Kithsiri Ranawaka from “Lith” case.

Rajapaksa and former Director-General of Divi Neguma Department Kithsiri Ranawaka are accused of misappropriating the Department’s funds to print five million almanacs with the picture of the then President Mahinda Rajapaksa to be distributed among voters in the run-up to the Presidential Poll in 2015.
