(UTV | MONARAGALA) – Dishan Gunasekera, the Basnayake Nilame of Ruhunu Maha Kataragama Devalaya yesterday (04) said that no permission will be given to exorcists to perform rituals at the Devalaya or surroundings.
The decision to stop such action was made during a discussion held with the Maha Sangha and Priests at the Kataragama Devalaya.
Hereafter permission should be taken from the Basnayaka Nilame’s Office to conduct such rituals.
