(UTV | COLOMBO) – Another 57 persons have been arrested during the past 24 hours on charges of violating quarantine regulations.
Accordingly a total of 81,188 persons have been arrested on the relevant charges since October last year.
Police said 2,505 persons entering and exiting the Western Province were inspected yesterday.
314 persons travelling without the required permits, had been sent back at the checkpoints.
