A Colombo-bound bus detained with passengers

(UTV | COLOMBO) – A Colombo-bound bus was detained with 48 passengers for violating the travel restrictions that were in effect during this period.

Police Spokesperson, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Ajith Rohana said today (31) that the bus was heading to Colombo from Akkaraipattu and that the bus had no clearance to operate at a time when a travel ban was in force.

DIG Rohana added that when the bus was stopped at a Police Check Point in Inginiyagala it was discovered that the bus nor its passengers had no clearance to travel.
