2021 Budget tomorrow

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The Government led by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa is to present its maiden Budget to Parliament tomorrow (17).

The Budget will cover the Government’s financial plan for 2021, and it will be presented to the House by Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa in his capacity as the Minister of Finance.

The Second Reading Debate of the budget will be held from 18 to 21 November.

The Budget Debate will be held daily from 10.30 AM to 5.30 PM and the vote for the Second Reading is scheduled for 5.00 PM on 21 November.

The Committee Stage Debate on the Budget will be held from 23 November to 10 December.

The vote for the Third Reading will take place on 10 December at 5.00 PM.
