(UTV | COLOMBO) – Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment have released two full-length trailers for Gareth Jennings’ new animated feature “Sing 2”.
Having successfully turned New Moon Theater into a hit. Buster Moon (Matthew McConaughey) is now eyeing the bigger prize of debuting a show at Crystal Tower Theater in the fabulous Redshore City.
With the help of his talented friends, including harried mother pig Rosita (Reese Witherspoon), rocker porcupine Ash (Scarlett Johansson), soulful gorilla Johnny (Taron Egerton), shy elephant Meena (Tori Kelley), and porcine provocateur Gunter (Nick Kroll), they plan to sneak into the offices of Crystal Tower Theater and convince reclusive rock star legend lion Clay Calloway (Bono) to take the stage with them.
The only catch is the theatre is run by ruthless and mean mogul wolf Jimmy Crystal (Bobby Cannavale). Garth Jennings pens and directs the film which will feature additional new characters played by Halsey, Pharrell Williams, Letitia Wright, Eric Andre and Chelsea Peretti.
“Sing 2” will be released in cinemas on December 22nd.
