43 individuals arrive in the island from Qatar

UTV | COLOMBO – 43 individuals have returned to the country this morning from Doha, Qatar.

The National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak said all arrivals were tested for coronavirus at the airport and directed to quarantine.

Meanwhile 27 new COVID-19 cases were detected yesterday, increasing the number of persons who contracted the novel coronavirus in the country to 2,871.

The Government Information Department stated that 23 inmates of the Senapura Rehabilitation Centre who were undergoing quarantine and four recent arrivals from the United Arab Emirates tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday.
