Covid-19 recoveries rise to 990

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Forty-nine more COVID-19 infected patients were recovered and discharged from hospitals today increasing the total number of recovered patients in Sri Lanka to 990, the Health Ministry said.

Accordingly, 16 patients from the Iranavila Hospital, 14 from the Homagama Hospital, 11 from the IDH, 6 from Colombo East Base Hospital and one patient each from Kathankudi and Hambantota hospitals were discharged.

The ministry said that a total of 834 patients are still under medical care at hospitals.

Meanwhile, 34 more naval personnel infected with Covid-19 were recovered and discharged today bringing the recovered number to 522.
