(UTV|COLOMBO) – Four Air Force personnel were killed when a three-wheeler and a truck collided head-on at Dummaladeniya in Warakapola on the Kandy-Colombo Main Road early this morning.
Police said the deceased airmen were travelling in the three-wheeler.
Investigation revealed that they were attached to the Ratmalana Air Force camp and were returning from a funeral when the accident occurred.
The driver of the truck was arrested and the Warakapola Police are investigating.
