“We are disappointed that the meeting with the President was inconclusive. We offered to present our majority once again in Parliament,” the UNP tweeted following the All-Party Meeting on Sunday (18).

Meanwhile, SLPP Parliamentarian also tweeted stating that “Disappointed to see talks ended inconclusive. We reiterate our call for a General Election so that people can decide who should be their Government.”
However, the President’s Media Division (PMD) stated that the All-Party Meeting called by President Sirisena to discuss the current political developments was held in a friendly and cordial manner at the Presidential Secretariat yesterday and lasted for more than two-hours.
