UNP, SLPP disappointed that All-Party Meeting concluded inconclusive

(UTV|COLOMBO) – United National Party (UNP) and the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) are disappointed that the All-Party Meeting with President Maithripala Sirisena was inconclusive.

“We are disappointed that the meeting with the President was inconclusive. We offered to present our majority once again in Parliament,” the UNP tweeted following the All-Party Meeting on Sunday (18).

Meanwhile, SLPP Parliamentarian also tweeted stating that “Disappointed to see talks ended inconclusive. We reiterate our call for a General Election so that people can decide who should be their Government.”

However, the President’s Media Division (PMD) stated that the All-Party Meeting called by President Sirisena to discuss the current political developments was held in a friendly and cordial manner at the Presidential Secretariat yesterday and lasted for more than two-hours.
