(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – A mother and her daughter knocked on a train at the Pilimathalawa Railway crossing.
They have been trying to cross the railway line when they met with the accident, Kadugannawa police stated.
The injured woman and daughter were admitted into hospitals in Kandy and Peradeniya for treatment.
Later the mother has succumbed to death, Kadugannawa police revealed.
The ten year old daughter has received serious injuries to her head.
