(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – The cause of death of a person whose body was found in Athnawala – Warakapola yesterday (10th Saturday) was exposed.
The youth has been killed due to an assault carried out by a vigilant group on thefts in the area due to mistaken identity.
The 32 year old man who was a resident in Katugastota has left the poultry farm he was working at in Pasyala and arrived in Pasyala junction to travel to his home for the weekend in Katugastota, when he was attacked by the group.
The body of the dead man has been dumped in Warakapola area by the group.
The suspects have been identified by police and they have fled the area, according to police.
