Wild-elephant suffers after consuming polythene

(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – Health condition of the wild elephant that consumed discarded polythene is turning serious, Girithale veterinary doctor of the Wildlife Department says.

The 35-year-old elephant was found fallen in a marshy area in Manampitiya on January 29.

Thus far, officials have removed 20kg of polythene from his body, reportedly.
