Wasim Thajudeen murder case in court today

(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – The case pertaining to the murder of former National Rugby Player Wasim Thajudeen will be taken up for hearing once again today (02nd Thursday).

The case will be heard by the Colombo Additional Magistrate Jerome Trotsky. Former Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Anura Senanayake and Former Officer in Charge of the Crimes Unit of the Narahenpita Police Sumith Perera, arrested and remanded on charges of concealing evidence in the murder case, will be produced in Court.

Court ordered that the CCTV footage pertaining to the investigation of a vehicle which was believed to have been travelling behind Wasim Thajudeen’s vehicle on the day of his murder be handed to the Colombo University for inspection when the case was last heard.
