Government directs its attention to Sri Lanka Police reforms

(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – The government has directed its attention to Sri Lanka Police reforms.

A special discussion was held in this regard under the leadership of Minister of Law and Order and Southern Development Sagala Ratnayake at the Temple Trees yesterday (26th Thursday).

Extensive discussions were held pertaining to the current Sri Lanka Police Act, the police uniform and the changes which should take place in administration and operation activities.

The government’s objective is to carry out reforms in a manner which is suitable to the modern world.

The discussion was also focused on the future course of action which should be taken to build the Police University.
