(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – The Parliamentary debate on the recommendations of the Committee on Public Enterprises over the Central Bank Treasury Bond issue will be held today (24th Tuesday).
The debate is held following a special request made by the JVP.
MP Ajith Mannapperuma said an extensive debate will be held in Parliament today from 10.30am to 7.30pm.
The MP said only the JVP spoke up about the issue and levelled allegations against the government, adding this is why the Prime Minister decided that the issue should be debated in Parliament.
He however reiterated that regardless of any debate, activities will be carried out in accordance with the law.
