(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – President Maithripala Sirisena says he will take steps to create a society of intellectuals by strengthening the free education system of the country and providing equal benefits to all children in the island.
Speaking at an event held in Colombo today (23rd Monday), the Head of State said the challenges due to new technology, commercialization and competitiveness, as well as the powerful social evils poses great challenges for the future.
Accordingly, the President said children should be ready to move forward while protecting the values and culture of Sri Lanka.
