Request to give opportunities in teaching service to government employees

(UTV | COLOMBO) –Ratnapura District Councilor Mr. Gamini Valeboda requested the Minister of Education Mr. Susil Premajayantha in the Parliament today

There is a serious shortage of teachers who can teach in English in most of the country’s schools and that this problem will be solved by recruiting public service personnel who are willing to work as teachers.

The minister said that he will pay attention to this. The minister also mentioned that they will continue to recruit new teachers from the beginning of next year.

Calling for applications of answer sheet examiners through the online system was scheduled to end today (21).

However, the examination department has decided to extend the call for applications for the selection of answer sheet examiners for the 2022 A-level examination until the 4th of next month.
