(UTV | COLOMBO) – People’s Bank says it will pay $ 6.9 million to a Chinese fertilizer company according to a letter of credit. Its General Manager Ranjith Kodithuwakku said that action would be taken to pay the amount today.
People’s Bank stated that due to the lifting of the order imposed by the Colombo Commercial High Court, they have decided to pay the amount.
The government has decided to stop the import of organic fertilizer from China after identifying harmful microorganisms in two samples of organic fertilizer samples to be imported from China.
