Foreigners arrested by Navy with heroin in Southern seas

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The Sri Lanka Navy has arrested seven foreign nationals in Southern seas with a large stock of heroin.

Navy Media Spokesperson Captain Indika De Silva said the seven suspects were arrested by the Navy during an operation conducted this morning.

He added the group along with the seized narcotics are being escorted to the Colombo Port by the Navy.

The Navy Media Spokesperson said the weight and value of the consignment will be determined after being brought to Colombo.
