(UTV | COLOMBO) – 11 individuals who contracted the coronavirus have recovered and have been discharged.
The number of recoveries accordingly increases to 3,016.
The Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry of Health said six individuals were discharged from the Welikanda Base Hospital, three persons from the National Institute of Infectious Diseases and two from the Iranawila Hospital.
234 individuals are accordingly being treated for the virus at present while 70 others who are suspected to have contracted COVID-19 are under observation.
The number of infections in the country rose to 3,263 after 29 individuals tested positive for the coronavirus yesterday.
Among yesterday’s cases were 24 Lankan returnees from overseas and five foreign nationals.
