UTV | COLOMBO – New dates to conduct the 2020 GCE Advanced Level Examination and the Grade Five Scholarship Exam will be announced today.
Minister of Education Dallas Alahapperuma is scheduled to hold discussions with several senior officials this morning at the Ministry premises, and subsequently expected to announce the new examination dates.
The A/L examination which was postponed due to the COVID-19 crisis was scheduled to be held in September.
However, the Ministry announced that following the closure of schools once again and after considering requests made by students, it decided to revise the examination dates.
Meanwhile, the Education Ministry said classes for students of grade 11, 12 and 13 will resume from next Monday.
However, schools within the Rajanganaya and Welikanda education zones will not re-open until the 10th of August.
