(UTV | COLOMBO) – The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) has introduced a Short Message Service (SMS) to inform the public of periodic water disruptions that may be imposed owing to the prevailing dry weather conditions experienced in the country.
The public has been requested to send a text message to 0719399999 number with their account number of the residence water connection.
Through the service, the public can receive updates pertaining to their monthly water bill, due payments and all urgent water cuts in their respective areas.
The NWSDB stated that the public will receive the service, free of charge.
