(UTV|COLOMBO) – Opposition Leader Sahith Premadasa would ultimately become the leader of the UNP, a UNP MP said yesterday.
MP Mujibur Rahaman told a press conference that Mr Premadasa would ultimately become the UNP leader as well.
He came out with the remark in response to a question raised by journalists.
“Mr Premadasa will become the leader of UNP at the end of the day but I cannot give a time frame for it,” Mr Rahaman said.
He said Mr Premadasa’s group had responded positively to the decisions made at the last Working Committee meeting of the UNP.
