Paramount delays “America” sets “Infinite” date

(UTV|COLOMBO) – In the wake of Disney’s reshuffling of its entire film slate, Paramount Pictures has been the first to exploit the new windows. Along with shifting “Dora the Explorer” earlier today by a few weeks, the studio has now put aside room for two more titles.

First up, the “Coming to America” sequel has been pushed back four months to a December 18th 2020 opening. The Eddie Murphy-led comedy sequel takes over a slot previously occupied by James Cameron’s “Avatar” sequel which was pushed back by a year on Tuesday.

The studio has also dated the Chris Evans-led reincarnation drama “Infinite” for August 7th 2020. Antoine Fuqua helms this film adaptation of D. Eric Maikranz’s novel “The Reincarnationist Papers” about Cognomina, a secret society of people who possess total recall of their past lives. A troubled young man haunted by memories of two past lives stumbles upon them.
