(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – 13 deaths due Dengue are reported from Kinniya over the past two and half weeks. Arun Mohan, the Public Health Officer of Trincomalee, added that Kinniya has the highest number of Dengue patients in the country.
The remaining patients were transferred to the Trincomalee hospital for more advanced further treatment.
The Health Ministry revealed that 20,000 Dengue cases were reported in 2017 alone.
