“War heroes will not be tried” – Ajith P Perera

(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – Deputy Minister Ajith P Perera says war heroes who fought for the country will not be tried at any court.

Speaking at a rally in Bulathsinhala, the Deputy Minister said not a single army officer in the country is against punishing wrongdoers responsible for their actions.

The Deputy Minister said cases won’t be heard against officers who defeated the LTTE on behalf of the country.

Deputy Minister Ajith P Perera said soldiers currently in prison are those who were hired by the previous tenure of the United People’s Freedom Alliance led government as mercenaries.
