No confidence brought against the NWP governor today

(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – A no confidence motion is to be presented against the North Western Province (NWPC) Governor Amara Piyasilly Rathnayake, at the provincial council meeting today (07th Monday).

The North Western Provincial Council Education Minister Sandya Kumara Rajapaksa noted that the no confidence motion has been brought due to discrepancies that occurred during her tenure.

It has been reported that the no confidence motion has been included as an urgent proposal in the provincial council agenda.

The meeting is to be held at 9 am today.

Minister Sandya Kumara Rajapaksa further noted that during this meeting it will be confirmed if the proposal on the no confidence motion will be presented to the provincial council.
