UTV | COLOMBO –

The National Election Commission says a valid form of identity must be used when casting postal ballots at the upcoming General Election.

The Election Commission said the National Identity Card, the Driver’s License, passport or the temporary ID issued by the Election Commission will be accepted as a valid form of ID.

The Commission said any individual who does not possess the IDs or does not possess an official work ID that proves their NIC number will not be allowed to cast their postal ballot owing to the inability to prove their identity.
