(UTV | TRINCOMALEE) – Two adults and four children have died after a raft transporting them had capsized in Kinniya, Trincomalee this morning.
Police Media Spokesman Senior Superintendent of Police Nihal Talduwa said several others are reported missing following the accident which occurred at the Kurinjankerni lagoon.
The bodies of the victims are placed at the Kinniya Hospital.
SSP Nihal Talduwa said Police and Navy teams have been deployed to search for the missing.
