Tuition classes can operate from today

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The Government has granted permission to operate tuition classes from today under strict health and safety guidelines.

The Director General of Health Services has issued directives to limit the maximum number of students to 100 at large venues, while smaller class rooms should permit only 50% of its capacity at a time.

Operators are instructed to adhere to health guidelines including social distancing while conducting additional classes for students.

However, several teachers have requested the government to consider increasing the student limit to 500. No announcement regarding the matter has been made thus far.
