Train guards call off their strike

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The strike launched by train guards earlier today has been called off.

Unions launched the strike over issues surrounding overtime payments.

Following the announcement, Sri Lanka Railways said the public should expect train delays and cancellations due to a strike.

However, unions have now announced that they have called off the strike.
