(UTVNEWS | COLOMBO) – Cate Blanchett will team with “In the Bedroom” and “Little Children” director Todd Field on the drama “TAR” which Field wrote and will direct for Focus Features and Emjag Productions.
The project will mark the acclaimed Field’s first project in fifteen years. He has been linked with others like “The Creed of Violence,” but they never took off – resulting in this Malick-sized absence.
Field, who started out an actor in films like “Eyes Wide Shut,” also scored Oscar nominations for both of his directorial efforts.
Set in Berlin, production on “TAR” will begin in September with plot specifics under tight wraps. Field will produce with Alexandra Milchan and Scott Lambert.
