(UTV|COLOMBO) – Former Sri Lanka captain Tillakaratne Dilshan says he will contest the upcoming Parliamentary Election from the Galle District under the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna ticket.
Speaking to media in Bentota, TM Dilshan said he is entering active politics to support the programme of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
Dilshan added that he will not criticise any factions or level allegations during the election campaign but will focus on taking forward his own programme.
He said he is willing to extend his support to all parties in the Galle district and claimed that he will forge ahead even without the backing of other political leaders.
