Suspect arrested for conducing classes on extremist ideologies

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The Terrorism Investigation Division (TID) has arrested a suspect for allegedly propagating extremist ideologies.

The 29-year-old suspect is reportedly a resident of Hemmathagama in Mawanella.

He is accused of conducting classes on the extremist ideologies in Muttur and Oluvil in 2018, under the directives of Zahran Hashim, the mastermind of the Easter attacks in Sri Lanka.
