Sufficient quantities of rice during festive season

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Steps will be taken to provide sufficient quantities of rice during the forthcoming festive season, the Ministry of Agriculture stated.

Accordingly, a kilogramme of Nadu Rice is to be sold at Rs. 96 and a kilo of Kekulu Rice is to be sold at Rs. 93 from 01 April this year.

This process of distribution would be implemented through the shops and outlets of the Co-operative Wholesale Establishment (CWE).
