Stock market rises for third consecutive day

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) closed for trading for the day on a positive note.

S&P SL20 index has moved up by 57.76 points (or 3.38%) to close at 1,764.78 points.

The All Share Price Index (ASPI) has appreciated 45.5 points (or 1.04 %) to close at 4,439.04 points, at the closing of trading today.

The daily turnover was recorded as 1.2 billion.

Sri Lankan stocks also rose on Wednesday and Thursday, boosted by gains in financials and consumer stocks.
