(UTV | COLOMBO) – Several spells of showers will occur in the Eastern province and in Jaffna, Mulatiuve, Kilinochchi, Hambanthota and Monaragala districts, stated the Department of Meteorology.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces and in Galle and Matara districts after 2.00p.m. Fairly heavy rainfalls, above 50 mm are likely at some places.
General public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
