SLTDA removes MRR imposed on Colombo City Hotels

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) on Monday (27) decided to remove the Minimum Room Rate (MRR) imposed on Colombo City Hotels effective immediately.

The decision was taken as a result of the severe impact the Easter Sunday attacks had on the tourism industry.

The SLTDA stressed that it was better for the market forces to decide the room rates rather than SLTDA dictating terms due to the prevailing situation.
