(UTV|COLOMBO) – Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) on Sunday (31) stated that it would conduct an inquiry against Sri Lanka Test Cricket Captain Dimuth Karunaratne who was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of liquor and being involved in a vehicle accident, in order to take action from its part.
Karunaratne was arrested by the Borella Police yesterday after the vehicle he was driving had collided with a three-wheeler in Borella around 5.30 on Sunday morning (31) at Kinsey Road in Borella.
The driver of the three-wheeler who sustained minor injuries has been admitted to the National Hospital in Colombo.
Karunaratne who was arrested following the accident by the Borella Police, later granted bail.
