A 44-year-old male who was receiving treatment at the National Institute of Infectious Diseases passed away this evening.
The resident of Mount Lavinia had traveled to Germany recently.
According to the Ministry of Health a total of seven persons have now died after contracting the novel coronavirus in Sri Lanka.
